The closing conference of the LIFE08/NAT/IT/000372 ARUPA Project will be held in Matera from 13th to 15th May 2015 on the premises of the provincial Multimedia Library. The event, organised by the University of Basilicata and by the Coordinating Beneficiary Province of Matera, in cooperation with the other project partners (Ente Parco della Murgia Materana and Association TECLA), will be structured in two days and a half: the first two mornings will be organised on common activities aimed at presenting the project actions and products, while the afternoons will be dedicated to parallel sessions, directed at discussing the scientific themes connected to project activities. This will be reached through the involvement of relevant researchers of the scientific fields to be treated, such as the Agricultural Engineering Department, under whose patronage the event is organised, and those linked to the main naturalistic (botanic, floristic and herpetological, etc.) issues. The third morning will instead be dedicated to the site visit to the Gravina of Matera, included from 1995 in SIC (Site of Community Interest) and ZPS (Special Protection Area) “Gravina di Matera” Natura 2000.
